What it does

Forge is an official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides access to Voxell's hosted text embedding API. It generates high-quality vector embeddings for text data, enabling semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and other NLP applications. The service offers multiple embedding dimensions (turbo 1024d, pro 2560d, ultra 4096d) with Matryoshka truncation capabilities for flexible vector representation.

How to set up

Installation is straightforward via npm using the command: npx @voxell/forgemcp. Once installed, the MCP server can be configured in compatible AI applications including Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible platforms. Configuration typically involves setting up API credentials for the Forge service.
