mGBA

What it does

mGBA is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides programmatic control over the mGBA Game Boy Advance emulator. It allows AI clients and applications to interact with GBA games by reading/writing memory, injecting button inputs, capturing screenshots, and managing save states through a standardized interface.

How to set up

Install the MCP server from the dmangdev/mcpmgba repository. The setup requires Node.js and the mGBA emulator installed on your system. Configure your MCP client to connect to the server endpoint, which bridges communication between your AI application and the mGBA Lua scripting interface.
