What it does

Nucleus MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that creates a unified memory and governance system for AI agents. It provides persistent memory storage (engrams), hypervisor file protection, audit trails, and consistent behavior across multiple AI platforms. The tool enables agents to maintain context and state across sessions while maintaining security and compliance.

How to set up

Installation is straightforward via pip: pip install nucleusmc. After installation, configure the MCP server in your AI client (Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or Gemini). The tool automatically creates a local .brain/ directory to store agent memory and configuration. Optional remote sync can be configured for cloud backup and multi-device synchronization.
