What it does

Datanika-core is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that integrates with Datanika, an open-source ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) platform combined with dbt. It provides read-only access by default to browse data connections, preview datasets, execute and compile dbt transformations, monitor pipeline execution, and manage end-to-end data workflows. The server offers 25 tools with optional write capabilities for advanced operations.

How to set up

Install from the GitHub repository at datanikaio/datanika-core. Configure the MCP server connection to your Datanika instance. For Claude, ChatGPT, or other supported platforms, add the server endpoint to your integration settings. Enable write operations by opting in to the allow-write configuration if needed for pipeline management capabilities.
